While most people casually glance at the world, I like to examine it in depth. My father, a former commercial photographer, taught me the basic skills of darkroom processing and opened my eyes to creative perspective. I learned that by altering my position only slightly, I could change any scene dramatically.

Every day is an expedition to find new ways of looking at life. I travel Chicago as a freelance Sign Language Interpreter with my camera as a constant companion. I am amazed at how the lessons learned as an interpreter have translated to my art. The simplest change in cloud structure or color tone can convey an entirely different mood or meaning to a composition.
