While most people casually glance at the world, I like to examine it in depth. My father, a former commercial photographer, taught me the basic skills of darkroom processing and opened my eyes to creative perspective. I use every day as an expedition to find new ways of looking at life.

I travel Chicago as a freelance Sign Language Interpreter with my camera as a constant companion. I am amazed at how the lessons learned as an interpreter have translated to my art. The simplest change in cloud structure or color tone can convey an entirely different mood or meaning to a composition.

Digital photography has become another language for me. It allows me to catch a fleeting moment in time and express it with vibrant colors and intensity. Chicago’s diverse landscape is the perfect backdrop to communicate my visions through photography.

To produce high quality archival images, I print all my photographs using Epson printers with genuine Epson UltraChrome K3 pigment inks on 100% cotton paper. Sometimes, I use Photoshop technology to enhance or manipulate colors for a more dramatic effect.
